Harley Gold is a Partner and Managing Director of Peakhill Capital. Harley has closed in excess of $17 billion in loans in over 3,500 deals over the past 20 years in Canada and the US. Harley has extensive financing experience on all asset types including multi-family, CMHC, senior housing, retail, industrial, hospitality, and land development.
Prior to founding Peakhill Capital, Harley was the Vice-President of Business Development at CMLS Financial for 11 years originating for institutional and pension accounts such as RBC and PHN. Harley also worked for 6 years for a US mortgage banking firm and was successful bringing 3 new US lenders to Canada.
Harley holds a Master of Business Administration from Canisius and BA Economics for University of Toronto. Harley is a founding director and chairman of the board of Lighthouse Credit Union, a new credit union approved by FSRA in 2022 focused on servicing the Jewish community.
Jonah Belkin is a Partner and Managing Director of Peakhill Equity Partners, Peakhill’s equity investment platform. Jonah leads sourcing, structuring, and execution of all of Peakhill’s equity investments, with a focus on ground-up and value-add development projects.
Jonah holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. He is a member of the ULI Urban Revitalization Council and the Cornell Real Estate Council.
Remy Caruso is the Director of Credit and Operations at Peakhill Capital focusing on overseeing a variety of functions including loan underwriting, servicing, fund management, and compliance.
Remy holds a Bachelor in Political Science, as well a Master in Public Administration from Western University.
Paul Heydweiller is Vice President on the Peakhill Equity Partners team focusing on sourcing, underwriting, and executing new equity investments in Canada and the United States. He brings to the role over 10 years of experience in real estate development, investments, and consulting.
Paul holds Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame, and a Master in Real Estate Development from Cornell University.
Cameron Smith is the Controller at Peakhill where he is responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting functions. Cameron brings to Peakhill close to a decade of experience in accounting for investment funds as well as his knowledge of financial services and real estate.
Cameron is a CPA, CMA with an undergraduate degree from Ivey Business School at Western University. Cameron is a CFA Charterholder.
Shawn (Yuxiao) Ning is a Vice President of Investment and Financing at Peakhill Capital. Shawn is primarily responsible for sourcing, reviewing, structuring, closing and providing risk control for equity and mortgage opportunities that provide superior risk adjusted returns.
Shawn holds a Bachelor in Mathematics from New York University and a Master in Financial Engineering from Cornell University.
George Misik is a Vice President of Financing at Peakhill Capital. George specializes in originating multi-residential deals, both conventional and CMHC-insured, and has deep experience in all asset classes including retail, office and industrial among others. George also has a penchant for land and construction facilities, especially in the multi-residential sector.
George is a graduate of the University of Toronto.
Roberto D’Abate is a Vice President of Financing for Quebec and Ottawa at Peakhill Capital. Roberto is responsible for sourcing, structuring and closing financing opportunities for real estate investors and developers.
Roberto holds a Bachelor in Economics from Concordia University and a Bachelor in Commerce from McGill University. Robert also holds a Master of Science from Simon Fraser University in Management, Economics, and Resource Management. Roberto is also a Chartered Real Estate Broker/Agency Officer and Chartered Mortgage Broker/Agency Officer.
Max Goyzman is a Vice President of Financing at Peakhill Capital. Max was previously responsible for overseeing the launch and operation of Peakhill’s CMHC lending business. Max has participated in the closing of over $1 billion in insured and conventional transactions for institutions and family office clients across Canada.
Max Graduated from the Ivey Business School at Western University and is a CFA Level III candidate.
Isabel Lontoc is a Vice President of Financing with Peakhill Capital and is responsible for loan origination, risk mitigation and deal analysis. Isabel also reviews due diligence information in order to coordinate all aspects of the underwriting and closing processes.
Isabel has over 15 years of sales and financial management experience within commercial, residential and automotive finance. Which has translated into a large network of lenders, brokers and high net worth borrowers.
Robert Drizis is a Vice President of Financing at Peakhill Capital. Robert (Bob) specializes in the Affordable Rental Housing sector. Bob’s knowledge of the financing structures available for construction and term loans in this sector will allow for speed to market and can mitigate execution risk for clients looking to deliver affordable rental projects.
Bob is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a major in Urban and Economic Geography.
Benjamin Tobin is a Vice President of Financing at Peakhill Capital who primarily focuses on origination, industry research, onboarding investors, and underwriting commercial deals. Since joining Peakhill in 2020, Benjamin has since underwrote over $100 million in debt transactions across all asset classes.
Benjamin is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario where he studied economics, politics, and philosophy.
TJ Kaloti is a Vice President of Financing at Peakhill Capital. TJ is primarily responsible for originating senior, subordinate, mezzanine and construction debt. His experience includes working with institutional and private borrowers in all asset types and transaction complexity.
Prior to joining Peakhill, TJ was at CMLS as an AVP responsible for originating debt opportunities through the advisory channel. TJ was also a Manager at BDC focused on owner-occupied commercial real estate financing and Senior Manager at DUCA Financials Services.
TJ has a Bachelor in Business from York University, as well as a Master of Finance from Queens University and Master of Management Analytics from Queens University.
David is the Vice President, Institutional Markets at Peakhill Capital focusing on the firm’s capital raising and investor relations efforts. David brings over 15 years of investment sales and client service expertise.
David has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from Concordia University and is fluent in English and French. He is a CIM (Chartered Investment Manager) as well as CMT (Chartered Market Technician) charterholder.
Dana Capland is a Marketing Manager at Peakhill Capital and is responsible for developing marketing and promotional strategy and materials. Dana also conducts market research and prepares market publications on real estate and capital market trends.
Dana holds a Bachelor in Communication Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as a Master of Public Policy from the University of Toronto.
Christopher Gibson is Vice President of Private Investments for North America and is responsible for overseeing investor relations and capital raising for the Peakhill Income Opportunity LP.
Christopher holds a Bachelor in International Politics from the University of Western Ontario.
Cameron Dowell is an associate at Peakhill Capital focusing on loan servicing, funding, market research, risk mitigation and client origination. Since joining Peakhill in 2020, Cameron has underwritten more than $100 million in commercial real estate loans.
Cameron holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from Dalhousie University.
Danny Grunbaum is an analyst at Peakhill Capital and is responsible for underwriting commercial deals, conducting due diligence, and market research.
Danny holds a Bachelor of Commerce from graduated from Rotman Commerce at The University of Toronto.
James Lynn is an analyst at Peakhill Capital focusing on underwriting commercial deals, market research, funding, and due diligence.
Prior to joining Peakhill, James held internships at CIBC, most recently in Capital Management. James worked closely with the risk management team, assessing risk-weighted assets, credit exposure, and interpreting OSFI regulations.
James obtained a bachelor’s degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University.
