Contact
My name is Brady McLeod, and I am the General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Peakhill Capital. I provide legal and regulatory advice on a wide variety of subject matter and for Peakhill’s private credit and equity deployment investment lines. With a strong background in corporate law, governance and real estate transactions, I support the business with strategic legal guidance necessary for the firm’s continued growth and bespoke deal structures.
“I lead with collaboration at the forefront. The best decisions are rarely made in isolation; they are shaped by open dialogue, diverse perspectives, and the willingness to challenge assumptions. I actively welcome dissenting opinions because an unchallenged decision is seldom the most suitable one. When people feel heard and empowered to push back, the outcome is almost always stronger.”
Peak Performance
Some of my proudest contributions at Peakhill have been my involvement in our inaugural TASE bond issuance, the development of our employee shareholder program, and playing a key role in Peakhill’s merger with Venture Mortgage to form Peakhill U.S. Capital Markets. Each of these moments represented a significant milestone for our firm and reflects the growth and evolution of our platform.

What is one book/podcast/TED talk that has made an impact on you?
“Freakonomics Radio” is a podcast hosted by Stephen J. Dubner, co-author of the bestselling book Freakonomics. The show uncovers the hidden side of everything, using data and economic thinking to help listeners understand the world around them. It explores topics through the lens of economics and social science, tackling everything from human behaviour and decision-making to culture, business, and beyond.
As Peakhill continues to expand its offerings, what has your experience been managing legal, regulatory, and compliance matters across its growing platform?
I view myself first as a practical partner to the business and a lawyer second. In today’s complex and ever-changing operating environment, there is rarely only one correct answer to a problem. I have been fortunate to be involved from inception in Peakhill REIT, Peakhill Realty, Peakhill Project Advisory, and our other business lines. While there are commonalities across these investment and operational platforms, each has its own unique attributes that warrant its own processes and procedures, all of which I have had the privilege of building out from the ground up.
