My name is Leanna Baijnauth, and I am the Chief of Staff at Peakhill Capital. My role is about keeping us moving in the right direction. I work closely with our leadership team to bridge the gap between our big-picture vision and our day-to-day execution. My days are rarely the same, which is what I value most about my job; however, some days I am a therapist. You never know what the day will hold.
“I’m always thinking about efficiency—I believe the best solutions are often the simplest, because in a fast-paced company, things can get complicated quickly. The goal is to bring strategy into clear, actionable steps so teams can remain focused and stay ahead of the competition.“
Peak Performance
My proudest moments at Peakhill are when we are given the opportunity to give back and support causes that are meaningful to us. From volunteering together as a team to supporting causes that matter, our leaders are always encouraging us to get involved. Whenever we ask if we can support or volunteer for these causes, the answer is always yes! That’s when I feel the most proud to be part of Peakhill.
One of my fondest moments at Peakhill was when I spent my birthday at work volunteering with Youth Without Shelter. Being able to celebrate in a way that made a real difference for others is a win that I am deeply proud of!

Peakhill in 3 Words
What is one book/podcast/TED talk that has made an impact on you?
Oprah Winfrey’s Spelman College Convocation Address helped define my path when I was just starting out in my career. She outlined three ground rules: knowing who you are, finding a way to serve, and always doing the right thing. This mindset keeps me grounded; it ensures that my professional identity is built on my own integrity and the quality of what I deliver.
Peakhill has grown significantly since its inception in 2019. How has senior leadership evolved since, and how have your responsibilities changed?
At Peakhill, we don’t have managers—we have leaders. When I joined in 2022, leadership placed strong trust in our small team, creating space for growth in a fast-paced environment. As the company scaled, so did my responsibilities. With each new opportunity, I stepped beyond my role, and through that trust, my capabilities and confidence grew significantly.
From a small team to an incredible group, it’s been an amazing journey. Also, a special shoutout to the growing roster of incredible women! Easily the strongest lineup around.
