My name is Pam Greenstein, and I am the People and Culture Lead at Peakhill.  Over the past few years, our business has grown significantly with expansions into new, related business lines. That means that a big part of my job is to partner with leaders to bring in strong talent, so that we can continue to provide a great experience to our valued clients.

We have expanded into other markets, by establishing offices in Calgary and Minneapolis, while hiring talent in various U.S. cities, growing our headcount from 60 employees to well over 200. I play the role of coach to our employees, helping them with career growth and development, and to our leaders, by helping them enhance the performance of their teams. I participate in various meetings, and meet with employees one on one to get a pulse of what’s going well, and where we can improve. When I hear great things about our business and people in real time, it provides a chance to thank our team for their fantastic work, and highlight successful moments that can celebrate company-wide.

“We want our people to feel fulfilled with meaningful and purposeful workto learn and collaborate every day. We strive for our employees to feel recognized for the impact they have on their peers, on the business, and in the communities we serve.”

Peak Performance

I am proud of the incredible talent we have brought to Peakhill. When I joined, we were transitioning from start-up to scale-up with many key roles to fill. In 2024 alone, we hired 53 new team members, doubled our Funding team, added 6 new hires in Montreal, grew our Loan Asset Management team by double digits in order to have better coverage across the function, and created 14 brand new roles. In 2025, we opened our Calgary office with 10 employees and welcomed 12 summer interns across Canada, bringing fresh ideas to every department. It is rewarding to be part of such rapid growth and to collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry. I am excited for what is next as Peakhill continues to expand.

Peakhill in 3 Words

What is one book/podcast/TED talk that has made an impact on you?

A book that has made an impact on me is called “Everything is Figureoutable”. It’s written by Marie Forleo, and the idea is to become a force in your own life. Face your fears and find a better way forward. Nothing is that complicated, it’s how you look at things, change your mindset, deal with self-doubt, and make things happen. She provides tips to make you “unstoppable.” It was so inspiring that I use that phrase at home and at work all the time.

What do you think makes Peakhill Capital an attractive place for top talent?

We are extremely entrepreneurial, a “roll up your sleeves” company. On day one, our employees begin learning and contributing to the business. We do not have a formal training program here; people learn by doing, asking questions, and figuring things out. That means we trust our staff and they are empowered to make important decisions. Mistakes are embraced as our team learns from them in a supportive environment. We believe it’s very compelling. You won’t find that approach in our industry, or even other industries. Peakhill is a great place for those who want to learn, grow, and make a big impact.
